The hawos Queen 1 accommodates hawos quality in a solid housing made from beech ply. The high rigidity resulting from this process and the grinding mills running on flexible bearings create a practical grain mill that is very gentle on your ears and fits perfectly into every modern kitchen.The grinding chamber is made from food-safe plastic (not from beech ply). Queen - the royal. It combines beauty and elegance with excellent internal qualities, just as one expects from a queen. The QUEEN 1 features a laminated Beechwood housing. The 11 ply construction is stable and rugged, with a pleasing appearance.
Using the time proven 100mm Hawos Millwork, the
QUEEN 1 produces very fine flour from a wide variety of
grains, for all the regular grains like wheat, rye
and spelt etc., and is very good for other items like chick peas,
lentils and corn
etc. The motor is a strong 360W brushless
direct drive induction design, able to grind corn
with ease, providing good output and reliable operation for decades.
The corundum milling stones are infinitely
adjustable and self sharpening,
designed for long life and continued fine flour
output. The lever on the top-side of the mill body provides easy user
milling adjustment from very fine through to coarse. This is a genuine
and usable adjustment, one of the unique features of these mills. Hopper removal for mill chamber access is easy via 4 x body-top bolts.
